A little more ….
John Fox, a proud resident of the Field Club Historic District for over a decade, calls a charming 1932 brick cottage home. His love for the community is evident in his tireless volunteer work, demonstrating a deep commitment to giving back. Born in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City, John's family relocated to Missouri, where he spent his later youth in Trenton. He graduated from Trenton High School and North Central Missouri College before pursuing his bachelor's degree in psychology from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. John furthered his education at Park University in Parkville, MO, earning a master's degree in psychology. John's entrepreneurial spirit emerged during his college days, as he founded a plant business specializing in outdoor planter design and landscape work. His passion for plant life flourished, and in 2011, he met Rob Houp, the esteemed owner of Village Flowers in St. Joseph, MO. Under Rob's mentorship, John honed his skills in the floral industry, laying the groundwork for his future success.
John is delighted to share his life with his husband, Jeff Fox, a proud Navy veteran and Nebraska native. Jeff has worked in the commercial insulation industry for 25+ years, but loves to assist John in his free time. You will see him around! Together, they share their love for their two chihuahuas, the late Kai and Mila, and their Russian blue cat, Niko. Their happy place is the enchanting island of Puerto Rico, which they highly recommend visiting.
In his free time, John enjoys supporting friends in political campaigns, volunteering with local organizations, tending to his vibrant urban backyard, and supporting Omaha's local food scene, entertainment, and events, surrounded by wonderful friends.
